We have continued this past week to work on the Read-To-Self component of the Daily 5. The students are almost up to 20 minutes of independent reading. I am also introducing Read-to-Someone this week. I know they will love it! All kids love reading with a buddy. As we do this, they will learn how to share the things that they think they are doing well with their buddy. This is always an exciting time as they talk about their practice time.
Please remember to practice reading 4-5 times a week with your child! They love this time with you. It’s that daily practice that really helps them. We want to really foster a love for reading for them!
Have a terrific week!
