Dear Parents,
Thanks again for attending Open House this past Thursday. I enjoyed sharing with you about our first grade classroom. Hopefully, you can tell that there’s a lot to cover academically in first grade, but we manage to have a lot of fun learning in the process!
I am very proud of how hard the kids are working at learning my classroom routines so quickly. I am also very pleased at how the kids are eager to show me what they know. I am seeing lots of hard work taking place daily. This is a great start to what I know will be a super year!
Please remember your child’s nightly reading homework. The expectation is 15 minutes with a minimum of 4 nights a week. Make sure to sign off on your child’s Reading Log. You can keep this in the back cover of the Blue Folder or in the pocket with their Bragging Behavior Sheet. Happy Reading!
Have an amazing week and take care!
Mrs. Fran McMath
